PASTORAL PONDERINGS

 

John 1:  5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

 

Dear Friends,

 

I came upon these two thoughts.

 

Nobody is wise who does not know the darkness.  I appreciate the dark hours of my existence in which my senses are sharpened.

 

Lord, in Your presence is fullness of joy.

You make sense of the darkness.

You understand it.

Even my darkness is no surprise to You,

and Your presence is my light
