Then, on 8/15 the Prayer Ministry Team will travel to Holy Trinity Red Bank for Eucharist with Pastor Dean at 10 a.m. – All are invited to join them.  They will then hold there prayer ministry time at Holy Trinity Red Bank following the Eucharist service.

FLOWERS:  This week the flowers were not sponsored so we had to cancel our standing order as the budget cannot cover the cost of the flowers.  For the next 6 weeks we are good, but then there are a number of spots open on the calendar in the hallway outside the offices. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring the flowers in memory or honor of a loved one or special event.

PRAYER LISTS/REQUESTS

If you have someone on the prayer list and you would like them to remain on the prayer list for the new church year, please call (732-229-9180), email (reformationwlb@gmail.com) or leave a note on Debbie’s desk. Please remember, unless otherwise asked, we will put your loved ones name on the weekly spoken prayer list for 4 weeks and then they will remain on the prayer list below and in the monthly messengers indefinitely (until you let us know we can remove them).

God’s Work Our Hands Day is September 9th and our plan is to work at the local Ronald McDonald House on Bath Ave. in Long Branch.  There will be jobs for everyone at all skill levels! There is a signup sheet on the kiosk so we can begin planning. Please help us prepare by signing up now. The house needs to know how many people are coming so they can plan jobs for us – please either sign up or let the office know if you plan to participate!

If anyone would like a God’s Work Our Hands t-shirt for the first time or if you are in need of a new one for any reason, please let the office know as soon as possible.  The cost is $8.00 each. There are both kids and adult sizes available.  Order must go in by THIS MONDAY to make sure we have them in time!!

THRIVENT FINANCIAL:  Have a project you’d like to see happen? If you or someone you know is a Thrivent member, it can happen!  See Deb Keszler or Sue Homza for guidance on how to file for a Thrivent Action team event.  Also, if you are a Thrivent member, you could have choice dollars to donate to the charity of your choice such as Reformation!  We can help you do that too! We’ve just gotten 3 members approved for Action Team Events with regards to VBS – you too can have that success!! Now, that VBS is over, we need to plan God’s Work Our Hands Day and could use some Thrivent Action Team Events for food, t-shirts, and supplies to do God’s Work with Our Hands at Ronald McDonald House on September 9th!!

REFORMATION EXERCISE:      After much discussion, Edie and Debbie have decided to continue the exercise class hiatus and we will resume classes in mid-September.  They decided no more “have to” tasks until after the summer!  Remember to breathe and relax – it really does work wonders!!

School Supplies: We are collecting school supplies for area children in need served through our food pantry and/or the Meal at Noon program.  ITEMS NEEDED ARE:

CRAYONS, 1 SUBJECT NOTEBOOKS, PENCILS, BLUE, BLACK AND RED PENS, AND GLUE STICKS
