Lectionary 7/Seventh Sunday after Epiphany

THE WEEK AT REFORMATION

Saturday – 5:00 p.m. Service of Holy Communion

Sunday – 9:30 a.m. Service of Holy Communion

Next Sunday, March 3rd, we will be holding our Transfiguration/Shrove Tuesday Pancake Brunch in the great room!  Evelyn Venberg has a Thrivent Community Action Card that will be paying for the food and supplies for the brunch but we will be collecting a free will offering to raise the funds to begin working on the refurbishing of the great room. It needs painting and the floors need refinishing! Please help us by making a donation on Sunday! Thank you Thrivent for supporting this event!

Then, on March 10th, we will be holding our 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Tea. All females of the congregation are invited.  This year’s theme is Inspiration Among Us and Sue is lining up some speakers from the congregation to share their stories. Bring a friend! Have your kids invite a friend!

Kelly Dopazo has begun her drive for new pajamas and new books for children in need. Kelly will have boxes to collect your donations in the gathering area beginning this weekend.  We plan to have this drive as our Lenten giving project through 4/14.

2019 DIRECTORY – Our new directory has been printed and is now available with the ushers!

The March Monthly Messenger will be going out later today and hard copies will be available on the round wooden table in the gathering area

Discover the Joy of being a Hospice Volunteer

If you have a warm heart, a listening ear, and the gift of compassion, you can make a difference in the life of a hospice patient or family member.  VNA Health Group is inviting individuals interested in becoming hospice volunteers to join our team in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.

There are many rewards and opportunities available to hospice volunteers though home visitation, companionship, administrative support, pet therapy, or any complimentary therapies. We are also seeking volunteers interested in providing support calls to our patients and family members from our offices. Training will be provided by members of the Hospice team.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Pauline De Palma, BSW (732) 224-6933 or email: pauline.depalma@vnahg.org
