For the Week Beginning July 13, 2018

Eighth Sunday after Pentecost/Lectionary 15

Sunday – 9:30 a.m. Service of Holy Communion

Wednesday – 10 a.m. Eucharist followed by Prayer Ministry

Wednesday – 6:30 p.m. Summer Evening Worship Service

This Saturday at 1:30 we will be holding a ceremonial ground breaking for the expansion of the food pantry and clothes closet. All are invited and we sure hope you will come and join us!!

Be sure to come and join us for worship this Sunday as our children perform some of the songs they learned in VBS this week!  The week was amazing; the kids had a blast. We had close to 40 kids every night!!  Thank you to everyone who made this year’s VBS such a wonderful success!!

God’s Work Our Hands Day is September 9th and our plan is to work at the local Ronald McDonald House on Bath Ave. in Long Branch.  There will be jobs for everyone at all skill levels! There is a signup sheet on the kiosk so we can begin planning. Please help us prepare by signing up now.

If anyone would like a God’s Work Our Hands t-shirt for the first time or if you are in need of a new one for any reason, please let the office know as soon as possible.  The cost is $8.00 each and donations to offset the expense will be gladly accepted. There are both kids and adult sizes available.  Order must go in by August 4th to make sure we have them in time!!

If you have someone on the prayer list and you would like them to remain on the prayer list for the new church year, please call (732-229-9180), email (reformationwlb@gmail.com) or leave a note on Debbie’s desk. Please remember, unless otherwise asked, we will put your loved ones name on the weekly spoken prayer list for 4 weeks and then they will remain on the prayer list below and in the monthly messengers indefinitely (until you let us know we can remove them).

NURSERY COVERAGE:              Our SCS classes have ended for the summer and that means our nursery coverage also ends.  Some of our parents, realizing the need doesn’t necessarily end for our nursery, have hired Nichole Rashid’s babysitter to come and watch the children beginning 6/24. Donations to the babysitter would be greatly appreciated.  Please see Nichole Rashid for details

THRIVENT FINANCIAL:  Have a project you’d like to see happen? If you or someone you know is a Thrivent member, it can happen!  See Deb Keszler or Sue Homza for guidance on how to file for a Thrivent Action team event.  Also, if you are a Thrivent member, you could have choice dollars to donate to the charity of your choice such as Reformation!  We can help you do that too! We’ve just gotten 3 members approved for Action Team Events with regards to VBS – you too can have that success!! Now, that VBS is over, we need to plan God’s Work Our Hands Day and could use some Thrivent Action Team Events for food, t-shirts, and supplies to do God’s Work with Our Hands at Ronald McDonald House on September 9th!!
