This Tuesday, March 5th it is our turn to provide dinner for the families staying at First Baptist Church through the Family Promise of Monmouth County Program.  Please see details below.

Wednesday is Ash Wednesday – We will have two opportunities for worship:  We’ll have Services of Holy Communion with the imposition of ashes at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.  Please join us for worship that day.

Then, on March 10th, we will be holding our 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Tea. All women and girls of the congregation are invited.  This year’s theme is Inspiration Among Us and Sue is lining up some speakers from the congregation to share their stories. Bring a friend! Have your kids invite a friend!

Kelly Dopazo has begun her drive for new pajamas and new books for children in need. Kelly will have boxes to collect your donations in the gathering area.  We plan to have this drive as our Lenten giving project through 4/14.

Our Lenten Journey 2019 begins……

Our Lenten Journey begins on Ash Wednesday, March 6th with 2 opportunities for worship. We will have a Service of Holy Communion with Imposition of Ashes at both 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Then our journey will continue each Wednesday evening at 7 with Evening Prayer followed by a study. Please see Pastor Matt’s article in the monthly newsletter for details on our study of the Stations of the Cross.

We invite you to come when you can, and leave when you must. If your work schedule doesn’t allow you to come for worship, come for the study. If the study runs too late, come for worship but please plan to come as often as you can.

EASTER LILIES AND TULIPS: We’ll be looking to place orders for our lilies and tulips within the next month. The good news is the prices are staying the same and the cost for both lilies and tulips will be $15 each. At the end of the newsletter are the order forms. Please submit your order requests as soon as possible, but no later than March 31st.

First Communion Class: When to begin receiving Communion is a mutual decision made by the person, their parents and the Pastor.  If there is anyone who desires to receive the sacrament, the first step in the process is to receive the age appropriate study materials and information.  Please reach out to Debbie K for the material. Pastor Matt has set March 9th at 1:30 for First Communion instruction.

Thank you:  Thank you to everyone who has signed up to do coffee hours from now until June. As of today the following dates are still available and goodies are needed:  May 12, June 2, and June 23 and then we are done for the summer!

Mary O’ Martha is starting up again

Next meeting is Wednesday, March 13th at noon in the Gathering Area.
