Attention! Attention!! Attention!!!
Calling all hands for handbells for Christmas! We are in need of ringers for our Christmas Eve service, members 11 years and older are invited to play. No experience necessary. If you read music, that is a plus, but not required 🙂 Handbells will rehearse on Sundays, directly after service, 11am. So grab your coffee/snack and head down to the choir room. The handbell choir will begin rehearsing on November 26th and will rehearse until Christmas. The more members we have, the more wonderful our sound will be. Please prayerfully consider joining this important part of our music ministry.
Please speak to Kevin or Lorraine Cotter for more information. Handbell choir will be conducted by Kevin Cotter.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY
Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 7 p.m. The Red Bank Public Library presents Racism without Racists with Rev. Ronal Thomas as the guest speaker.
Sunday, Dec. 17th – Monmouth Civic Chorus to perform their annual Christmas concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank at 4 p.m.
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
Pastor Matt and Julia Homza have begun rehearsals for this year’s Christmas Pageant. Because Advent 4 and Christmas Eve fall on the same day this year, our pageant will be on the 3rd Sunday of Advent, Dec. 17th during our Sunday worship service. Dress rehearsal will be 12/16 at 2 p.m. with our annual babysitting event from 4-6 so our parents can get a much needed break during this hectic time of the year! If anyone would like to join Debbie and Edie from 4-6 on 12/16 – please do – we would love the help!
CHRISTMAS CONCERTS
We have two concerts again this year: The Greater Shore Concert Band will be performing here on Tuesday, Dec. 5th at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free but we do take a free-will offering to help offset the costs and their fee. There will be refreshments following in the Great Room. Speaking of refreshments, Pat VanBenthuysen is coordinating our refreshments and would like volunteers to bring finger foods and finger desserts. There is a sign-up sheet on the kiosk to let her know you can help. She’ll also need help setting up and cleaning up that evening.
Then, on Sunday, December 10th at 3:30 The Northern Cluster Choir will be performing Sing Joy to All the World by Lloyd Larsen followed by refreshments in the gathering area. There will also be a free-will offering taken to help offset the costs of the Northern Cluster Choir. Pat VanBenthuysen also needs help with refreshments for this concert. See the same signup sheet on the kiosk!
CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA FOR THE ALTAR
It’s time for us to put our order in for our poinsettias for the altar. The order needs to be in very shortly. Barbara Aussicker has volunteered to coordinate our poinsettia order again this year. If you would like to order a poinsettia in honor or memory of someone or just for yourself, please see the order form below.
POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS
The Altar Guild is taking orders for Christmas Poinsettias. Please consider purchasing a poinsettia, or two, in honor or in memory of a loved one. The poinsettias will be placed around the altar for Christmas Eve worship and may be taken home after the 9:30pm worship service. Cost: $15.00 each.
Donations to the Altar Guild fund, in honor or memory of a loved one, are also
gratefully accepted. Please complete the form below and return it to the office as soon as possible with a deadline of November 15.
