HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE

WEDNESDAY IN HOLY WEEK – At 10 a.m. we will have our weekly Eucharist service but this week we will include the Stations of the Cross

MAUNDY THURSDAY:  Dinner Church – March 29 at 6pm. We will worship together around a 3 course pot luck dinner – all are invited; bring a dish or dessert to share. Then, following dinner we will process into the sanctuary for the stripping of the altar and the foot washing ritual.

GOOD FRIDAY:      March 30: 3:00 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy from Evangelical Lutheran Worship

7:30 p.m. A service of light and shadows – traditionally called Tenebrae

THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER:  March 31:  7:30 p.m. The Great Vigil of Easter – This service is long – though it could be longer still if we included all of the readings available in the service of readings.  It is one of the  most meaningful services of the season and is a very moving service. It begins with the lighting of the new fire, continues with readings and dramatizations and then we process into the sanctuary for a Service of Holy Communion. It lasts between 2 and 2 1/2 hours.

EASTER SUNDAY:              April 1: Festival Service of Holy Communion at 9:30

(No Sunday Church School or Nursery coverage on Easter Sunday)
