THE WEEK AT REFORMATION

Saturday – 5:00 p.m. Service of Holy Communion

Sunday – 9:30 a.m. Service of Holy Communion

Wednesday – 10 a.m. Eucharist followed by Prayer Ministry

 

 Our NJ Synod has been in contact with the Caribbean Synod and we now have a church in Dorado PR to send much asked for supplies.  There is a bin in the gathering area to collect the following items:  Potable Water Pills  /   9V, AA, AAA, D and C batteries / Flashlights/  Portable Water Filters  /  Solar Chargers  /  Children Meds OTC /  Money

 There is a bin in the gathering area to collect items and we have a Thrivent Action Team card to help pay for the shipping of the items to Dorado, PR. We’ve also connected with our sisters and brothers from Asbury Park Methodist Church in Long Branch and they will be picking up our flood buckets to ship to PR.

 

THANKSGIVING DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE FOOD PANTRY: We are in need of the following items to complete our bags for Thanksgiving for our 200 families: cake/brownie mixes; canned corn and/or green beans; canned yams/sweet potatoes; corn muffin mix. We have MU students coming Wednesday 11/15 to set up the great room with all our items and we have Brian Valentino’s Cub Scout Pack coming Wednesday evening to put all the bags together.

Monday, Nov. 13th – Mary Martha Circle meets at 11:30 a.m.; bring a lunch and plan to help with putting together the Seafarers’ Christmas gifts.

Saturday, Nov. 18th – Meal at Noon Thanksgiving Luncheon 11-1p.m. See Byron Griffin on how you can help; volunteers always appreciated.

Sunday, Nov. 19th – Annual Congregational Meeting for elections at 11 a.m. – see monthly messenger for slate and also see the display in the gathering area for the slate.

Sunday, Nov. 19th – Commitment Sunday – bring your 2018 commitment card as we close our fall stewardship program with the dedication of our commitments for 2018

Sunday, Nov. 26th – Handbell rehearsals begin following worship and continue until Christmas

Wednesday, Nov. 29th at 7 p.m. The Red Bank Public Library presents Racism Without Racists with Rev. Ronal Thomas as the guest speaker.

Sunday, Dec. 17th – Monmouth Civic Chorus to perform their annual Christmas concert at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank at 4 p.m.

 

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA FOR THE ALTAR

It’s time for us to put our order in for our poinsettias for the altar.  The order needs to be in very shortly. Barbara Aussicker has volunteered to coordinate our poinsettia order again this year. If you would like to order a poinsettia in honor or memory of someone or just for yourself, please see the order form below.

 

POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS

The Altar Guild is taking orders for Christmas Poinsettias. Please consider purchasing a poinsettia, or two, in honor or in memory of a loved one.  The poinsettias will be placed around the altar for Christmas Eve worship and may be taken home after the   9:30pm worship service.   Cost: $15.00 each.

 

Donations to the Altar Guild fund, in honor or memory of a loved one, are also
