God’s Work Our Hands Day is September 9th and our plan is to work at the local Ronald McDonald House on Bath Ave. in Long Branch.  There will be jobs for everyone at all skill levels! There is a signup sheet on the kiosk so we can begin planning. Please help us prepare by signing up now.

If anyone would like a God’s Work Our Hands t-shirt for the first time or if you are in need of a new one for any reason, please let the office know as soon as possible.  The cost is $8.00 each and donations to offset the expense will be gladly accepted. There are both kids and adult sizes available.  Order must go in by August 4th to make sure we have them in time!!

FAMILY PROMISE OF MONMOUTH COUNTY

Once again, on Tuesday, July 24th, we will have the privilege of bringing dinner to the families staying at First Baptist Church on Bath Avenue in Long Branch through the Family Promise of Monmouth County program.  Your help is needed to make this dinner special for the families. During the day side dishes, fresh fruit, and desserts can be left here at the church.  The main dish of chicken and the drinks will be provided. We will be carpooling from the church at 5:30 p.m.  All are welcome to join us.  It’s an amazing evening of food and fellowship! We have a severe shellfish allergy, nut allergy, carrot and all berries allergy this time.  Please be mindful in preparing side dishes and desserts.

THRIVENT FINANCIAL:  Have a project you’d like to see happen? If you or someone you know is a Thrivent member, it can happen!  See Deb Keszler or Sue Homza for guidance on how to file for a Thrivent Action team event.  Also, if you are a Thrivent member, you could have choice dollars to donate to the charity of your choice such as Reformation!  We can help you do that too! We’ve just gotten 3 members approved for Action Team Events with regards to VBS – you too can have that success!! Now, that VBS is over, we need to plan God’s Work Our Hands Day and could use some Thrivent Action Team Events for food, t-shirts, and supplies to do God’s Work with Our Hands at Ronald McDonald House on September 9th!!
