Even if you didn’t get to sign up, come and join us!!!

Vacation Bible School – yes, it’s time to think about VBS – it’s right around the corner. Plans are being made and supplies need to be bought. We need your help!! Please be sure to sign up your children for VBS as soon as possible – 7/23-7/27 starting at 5:00 p.m. with a light kid friendly dinner followed by gathering time and the start of VBS at 5:30 with an ending time of 8 p.m.

If you have any questions, please see Debbie Keszler, Edie Jansen, or Alicia Willemsen

Father’s Day is next Sunday, June 18 – There is still time if you would like to honor or remember the special men in your lives by making a donation to our Endowment Fund.  The form is at the end of this e-messenger, on the round wooden table in the gathering area, and also on our website in our monthly messenger. Just please be sure to get your request to the office by this Tuesday at the latest! Thank you

THE CAMP CONNECTION

CROSS ROADS CAMP AND RETREAT CENTER

Camp isn’t just for summer!  All year round, people of all ages can come to Cross Roads to find a time and a place apart.  Take in a big breath of new life.  Marvel at how many different colors of green God has made.  Spring retreats remind us that we are resurrection people.  Not only does Cross Roads have retreats and Confirmation Camp for our confirmation students but it also offers age appropriate summer camp opportunities including family weekend camp opportunities.  CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE AT: www.crossroadsretreat.com – Both the men’s and women’s retreats are now on the calendar!!!

IT’S TIME FOR OUR END OF YEAR PICNIC AND BAKE OFF CONTEST!!

Come join us for a fun filled picnic on Sunday, June 11th following worship.  There will be a piñata for the kids, games, a taco bar, side dishes, and of course our annual bake off!  This year we have a children’s entry and the kids will also be the judges with Pastor Matt.  Can you keep your entry within the theme of the picnic – we challenge you to!! Please see the sign-up sheet on the kiosk for attendance, side dishes, and bake off entries. Please be sure to sign up so we know how many to cook for!!!

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S RETREAT AT CROSSROADS

Crossroads Camp and Retreat Center has scheduled their synod wide women’s retreat for 9/29-10/1 and 10/13-10/15.  Several of us here at Reformation have chosen to attend the 9/29-10/1 retreat to avoid a conflict with the annual CROP Walk which is 10/15.  We invite all women of the congregation to attend – check out the retreat center on their website at www.crossroadsretreat.com Just know it’s first come, first serve so if you are thinking of attending, you need to register as soon as possible.

Then, men – for the first time ever there is a men’s retreat weekend on 10/20-10/22 which will be led by Pastor Bruce Davidson.  It will be a new experience for all and promises to be as equally fun and spiritually renewing as the women’s retreats have been.  All men of the congregation are invited to register for this retreat – check out the retreat center on their website too at www.crossroadsretreat.com

HAND IN HAND DAY INFORMATION

Our next Hand in Hand Day is approaching fast.  On June 17th we will be at Camp Evans in Wall Township.  It looks like we need at least 8 – 10 volunteers to make this day a success.

I have attached the days details to this email for you to review.  Feel free to use our VIC Net portal or if you prefer please email me at aelefante@lsmnj and I will assist you in signing up for the event.

If your fellow volunteers have not registered in our system yet, please have them use the link below and it will take you to the registration form.

If they have already filled out the registration then you can use the link below which takes you to VicNet our Volunteer Information Portal. Here you can enter your ID and Password to access your account and sign up for the event location of your choosing. If you cannot recall your ID and Password, no problem. If you or a few of your congregation members can make it to this month’s event it may be a way to start small and build this as a volunteer mission in the future. If you need more information or have questions please let me know and I will be glad to assist.

We hope to see you there!  Blessings to all of you!

{  Father’s Day Tribute {

On Sunday, June 18th we will be celebrating FATHER’S DAY.  We are providing an opportunity for honoring and remembering our fathers and the special men in our lives through the Endowment Fund.  We are providing a FATHER’S DAY TRIBUTE where contributions may be made to the church and applied to our Endowment Fund.  We have established three sections of the Endowment Fund.  The original section is General Endowment, which will continue to make grants and matching gifts.  The second section is for the Building Endowment and will be used exclusively for the repair or expansion of our church building.  The third section is for Feeding the Hungry. You may choose where you would like your gift applied by annotating in the appropriate sections identified below.  Simply make a contribution payable to Reformation Lutheran Church (in any amount) and complete this form.  Your form and donations may be placed in the offering plates, mailed to the church or placed on Debbie’s Desk— no later than June 12th

RESERVATION DEADLINE:  JUNE 12th
