We’ve placed our order for Poinsettias – we ordered 30 in the hopes they would all be purchased. We still have lots available so even though the published deadline date has passed you can still purchase a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one!
OUR FALL CLEAN UP IS THIS SATURDAY BEGINNING AT 10 A.M. – BILL HOMZA IS HEADING UP THE PROJECT AND HE SURE HOPES SOME OF YOU ARE PLANNING TO COME AND JOIN HIM!! We will have some students here from Monmouth Univ. as part of their Big Event but they will need guidance and supervision so please plan to come and assist!!
After helping around the church Saturday, why not head to the Scandinavian Christmas Bazaar to benefit the Sons of Norway (a supporter of our Food Pantry) that afternoon. They’ll have crafts, vendors, imported food and gifts, music, and lots of food! It’s at the Old Bridge Twp Municipal Center, Civic Center at 1 Old Bridge Plaza entering from Rt. 516 between Rt. 9 and Cottrell Rd, in Old Bridge and runs from 10-4 on 11/17

Please remember, unless otherwise asked, we will put your loved ones name on the weekly spoken prayer list for 4 weeks and then they will remain on the prayer list below and in the monthly messengers indefinitely (until you let us know we can remove them).

UPCOMING EVENTS
FALL CLEANUP AT THE CHURCH: On Saturday, Nov. 17th we will have our fall cleanup at the church and there is a lot to do!! We need your help!! We’ll start at about 10 and work as long as we can inside and out!
Windows, screens, cobwebs high up, weeding, trimming, cutting back, and more……..Please find the time to give an hour or 2 during the day. There is a signup sheet on the WANTED bulletin board in the gathering area and also in the binder on the round wooden table in the gathering area.
We’ll soon be putting together our 2019 Church Directory. Please check the current directory and send any necessary changes for your information to the church office at reformationwlb@gmail.com. Please don’t assume we have any changes. We try to make the directory as accurate as possible but we do make mistakes from time to time. Thank you!
Poinsettia for our Christmas Altar: If you would like to order a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one, please see the order form at the end of this weekly newsletter. We must put the order in to reserve our poinsettia by the middle of this month at the latest.
THANKSGIVING FOR THE FOOD PANTRY CLIENTS: Thank you everyone for your amazing support! As this is written we are planning to distribute turkeys with the trimmings to 245 families on Saturday morning!! We wouldn’t be able to do it without the unwavering support of all of you!!
LOOKING AHEAD:
2018 HOLIDAY BAZAAR AT THE LONG BRANCH SENIOR CENTER – Friday, 12/7 from 10-2 the Long Branch Senior Center will be hosting their annual holiday bazaar, bake sale, and auction. Breakfast and lunch will also be available to purchase. All proceeds will benefit their center programs.
ADVENT WREATH MAKING: On Sunday, 12/2 we will hold our annual Advent wreath making event in the great room. All supplies will be provided. Come and join us for this wonderful family event! Look for more details in the monthly messenger next week.
POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS
The Altar Guild is taking orders for Christmas Poinsettias. Please consider purchasing a poinsettia, or two, in honor or in memory of a loved one. The poinsettias will be placed around the altar for Christmas Eve worship and may be taken home after the 9:30pm worship service. Cost: $15.00 each.
Donations to the Altar Guild fund, in honor or memory of a loved one, are also
